Shannon Haas

Shannon Haas is an artist from Franklin, Tennessee. After her youngest of three children graduated from high school, she recently relocated a little further South to Columbia, Tennessee where she paints from her home studio. Working primarily in acrylics, she adds layers of color and texture with a brush and palette knife, applied to canvas or wood cradled panel. Her subject matter is inspired by nature, and most anything Southern. Her style is described as Expressionism, with an occasional touch of whimsy.

Shannon’s work has been published in Art Galleries and Artists of the South Magazine, and Cottage Journal. She participates in local and regional juried art shows and paints residential and commercial commissions.
