Date: Wednesday, February 2 – Sunday, February 6, 2011

NOTE: Many may ask why in the world we would plan a trip in February! February is a slow time for NYC and discounts are plentiful! NYC’s “Paint the Town” promotion that time of year offers steep discounts to shows, restaurants, etc, etc, etc. When we took a trip in mid-Feb in the 90s . . . we never noticed the weather because we were having so much fun! Travel Insurance will be available to protect against trip cancellation because of inclement weather.

Hotel: Likely will be the artsy and eclectic “Roger Smith Hotel” (www.rogersmith.com) We are also looking at other alternatives.

Approx. cost: $1000 – $1200 / person (double occupancy) (Single supplement will be available as well as optional trip extension, etc).

NOTE: Our travel partners have quoted conservatively and expect the cost to actually be lower. After we determine the final group size, we will provide be actual amounts.

NOTE: Fees include airfare, transfers and hotel.

Group size: To get the best rates available, we need a group of approx. 35 – 40 participants. We already have a number of people who are “committed” so don’t wait. Let us know that you are interested.

Possible group activities: Our Exec. Dir. Laura Phillips (with her NYC and arts connections) is working on quality docent-led museum tours, a group city tour with group dinner event at end of tour, etc. In addition, we will provide plenty of opportunities prior to the trip for assistance with planning your agenda for shows and other activities.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see NYC with your friends from the Carnegie. Please email Noel King (noelking@noelking.com) or call (256-303-1177) to be added to our group of interested travelers. We will be sending out regular trip updates via an email system . . . so please provide your email address to Noel as soon as possible.
