Organized Labor is an exhibit of contemporary works by members of Paperworkers Local, a non-profit artists‘ co-operative based around a printmaking facility on Birmingham’s Southside. This exhibition includes a range of methods, including printmaking, drawing, painting, and photography. Printmaking techniques featured in this exhibition include etching, drypoint, photo-intaglio, silkscreen, reduction woodblock, wood intaglio, Japanese style woodblock, and monoprint. Featuring works by Cathy Wright, Richard Stockham, Joi West, Roger Jones, Mimi Boston, John DeMotte, Tenisha Artes Hicks, Jane Marshall,  Zachary A. Edison, Enid Keyser, Jill England, Haruyo Miyagawa, Sarah Marshall, Robin McDonald, Michael Merry and Nancy Smith

Each member’s work offers insight into the uniqueness of his or her studio practice and creative journey as an image maker.

June 22, 2018 —Member’s Artist Reception- 6pm-7:30pm
Carnegie Members-Free admission. Guests-$5.00. Beverages and appetizers will be served.
