The Carnegie Visual Arts Center will host a super day of art, music and fun on Saturday, June 19th from 9 AM -5 PM. Art Walk Festival is an annual street festival that features regional artists displaying their art for sale, art demonstrations including a caricature artist, children’s art activities, and live music. A variety of art including oils, acrylics, watercolors, photography, calligraphy, hooked rugs, and glass work will be for sale with some of the proceeds benefiting the Carnegie Visual Arts Center. Big Mike’s Concessions will be available with a variety of food. Admission to ArtWalk Festival is free.

Music Line Up
This year’s musical performances features an all-Decatur line up. From seasoned professionals to up-and-coming musicians, a variety of excellent music will be presented.
9:30 – 10:00 AM – Shannon Silvestri
This young Decatur guitarist “just sings for fun”. She sings and plays an eclectic mix of contemporary folk and contemporary Christian with a little classic rock and country thrown in. She is musically inspired by O.A.R., Dispatch, Jack Johnson, and Laura Story as well as others.
10:30 – 11:30 AM – Tangerine Tambourine (combo)
This North Alabama based children’s music group has made some waves with their self-titled debut album. Band leader Jeff Sharp started out making up songs for his daughter and invited his friend Josh Lovvorn to join in and many more musicians followed. The music is a collective effort of some of the areas top musicians. Live performances include crowd participation, and, of course bubbles, hula-hoops, and maracas. www.tangerinetambourine.com
12:00 – 1:00 PM – Kim Stone
Kim Stone, guitarist and vocalist, has lived in Decatur, Alabama for over 25 years. Kim has performed with different vocal groups and music ensembles and as a solo performer throughout the Southeast United States in Music festivals such as W.C. Handy Fest in Florence, City Stages in Birmingham, Water Festival and Gullah Fest in Beaufort, South Carolina, and most recently at the Alabama Jubilee in Decatur. Her musical influences include Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, The Beatles, and Prince.
1:30 – 2:30 PM – Gray Cauthen and Joe Davenport
Gray Cauthen is a 15 year old singer/ songwriter from Decatur. He has been playing guitar for most his life. Recently he has begun wtiting his own songs and has started performing local gigs wherever he can. He is passionate about his music wants to share his songs with others. John Mayer, Ray Lamontange, Allman Brothers, and Bob Dylan (just to name a few) are among his musical influences. Joe Davenport is a guitarist and songwriter. He and Gray have been collaborating on song writing lately. He has a long list of musical influences that includes Radiohead, Dave Matthews, Pink Floyd and Carlos Santana.
